At the invitation of the Mexico City Ministry of Culture, the documentary Huicholes:\u00a0The Last Peyote Guardians by Hern\u00e1n V\u00edlchez was presented at the Fiesta ofIndigenous Cultures on 28 August on the Z\u00f3calo of Mexico.<\/p>\n

As part of the pre-function activities, a working session was held with all the\u00a0authorities of the Wixaritari communities to work together. See Minutes of the\u00a0August 28 Agreements.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

As a part of the agreements and the philosophy of the production team is to report\u00a0on revenues and expenditures that are made from the exhibition the film and the promotion of spiritual, productive and cultural projects in the Sierra Huichol and\u00a0Wirikuta.<\/p>\n

As part of the agreements the documentary will be presented at the end of the weekof September 6-7 at the general assembly of the community of San Sebasti\u00e1n and the\u00a0General Assembly of Santa Catarina in late October. Similarly a function will be held\u00a0in Bancos de San Hip\u00f3lito. For this, the Regional Wix\u00e1rika Council and the Wix\u00e1rika\u00a0Union of Ceremonial Centers agreed to carry out the projections, with a DVD disc of\u00a0the documentary and projection equipment.
