Many thanks to everyone who participated in the campaign that we launched from the documentary film Huicholes: The Last Peyote Guardians.

We share with all of you the results of the fundraiser that took place from November 3 to December 31, 2020.

Number of copies sold: 69 digital downloads

Total: $ 857.90 USD (after Vimeo commission and tax)

As we agreed with the Authorities of San Sebastián Teponahuaxtlán and San Andrés Cohamiata, 70% would be for the communities as requested by the authorities, for a  total of $600.53 USD. 

Before December 24, $475.00 USD was given to purchase candles and other ceremonial items. The supplies were delivered by Grupo Teukaria Alianza con Jicareros,and we had the support of the Jalisco State Indigenous Commission for delivery in San Andrés Cohamiata. In the case of San Sebastián, the supplies were picked up by members of the community.

The delivery of $125.33 USD  ($62.66 USD  to each community) is pending and we are working out the best way and time. We will communicate when we deliver this balance.

Once again we thank the authorities of San Sebastián Tepnahuaxtlán and San Andrés Cohamiata for their trust in us.

Also many thanks to The Esperanza Project and Voices of Amerikua for joining the fundraising campaign in these times when solidarity is so important.
